It's with a heavy heart that we need to announce the departure of 2 members of Arson River. After receiving (and having to turn down) multiple distribution, radio, publishing, promotions, booking, and record deals in the past 6 months, it became clear that we all needed to prioritize our lives accordingly. Spencer has chosen to move forward with his other band, Strange Daze. Jesse has also chosen to bow out of the project. This was not a light decision for any of us. The lifestyle of a musician is a roller coaster of sacrifice, emotion, blood, sweat, and tears. If you aren't in it 150%, then it becomes a weight that no one can bear. Let it be known that although we are on an indefinite hiatus, we will be back stronger than ever. To prove it, we posted a new song on our website titled "Livestock" that we would love you to hear... seriously, go check it out.
We've been asked repeatedly why we didn't partake in the Northern Invasion battle of the bands. Now you know. That said, we didn't really want to battle against all the bands we've been playing with for the past couple of years anyway. They are all amazing and there are guys in each one of those bands that we could call friends and/or brothers, and we'd like to congratulate all the bands involved on a great show!
We really appreciate everyone's patience and support during this time. Matt and I will do our best to keep everyone posted in the coming months. Thanks so much.
